Taking the fretboard at the 12th fret for a starting point, moving closer to the body will give you more low tone, but too close to the soundhole will get woofy. Most recommendations center around the fretboard and the body. A USB mic is similar to an interface as far as the daw is concerned.Īs far as mic placement, I generally use 2 mics.
I don't think that a daw will lock on to 2 USB mics.
